Practice Schedule

This week, we have regular practices for all groups.

Sunday Bay Area League

Let's take a moment to celebrate our players' performance in the Bay Area League this past Sunday. The coaches' recap speaks volumes about the dedication, skill, and sportsmanship displayed by every one of you.

14U Team
Coach Steven

Game 1: 3-12 Loss to 680 D

This was a rough loss to start the day against some tough opponents. We looked a little sleepy for our morning game, as the opposing team showed strong teamwork and fundamentals while we took some time to get into game mode.

The first half was quite lopsided, but we got into a groove late in the second half. We allowed fewer counterattacks, and we began to make better passes with fewer turnovers. This game was full of good lessons regarding the importance of strong fundamentals and a good mindset. Despite the rough start, we found some positive results late in the game.

Game 2: 8-7 Win vs. Diablo C

This was a hard-fought win after a substantial break between games. It has been a while since we had a tournament, with a break between games. We looked rested, adequately fueled, and mentally sharp during this second game.

We had a few mental lapses on defense that resulted in easy goals. But overall, we played stronger defense and made better passes. Brody also had a stellar game as the goalie, blocking multiple tough shots and making tremendous long passes. As a result, we had some quality counterattack opportunities and earned some exclusions and 5-meter penalty shots. Angelo Fraumeni had some strong play in his new role at the center/hole-set position, while Julian Pang and Sidney Hamelin led the counterattack with multiple goals each.

16U/18U Team
Coach Eric

Game 1: 6-7 Loss vs. NorCal Teal

It was a very tight game against NorCal. Both teams played strong defensively, keeping the game within 1 goal for all four quarters. The boys showed great discipline on and off the ball, making great team plays and scoring great goals.

We went into the game's final minutes down 5-6 but tied up with 2 minutes left. After the opposing team equalized, we had one possession left. Bruno's timeout and a well-coordinated play got a shot on goal, but it fizzed wide to end the game 6-7.

Game 1: 12-5 Win vs. Tri-valley:

A blazing-fast start by the team, with clinical counterattacks, put us up 5-0 in the game's opening minutes, and we held onto the lead from then on. Everybody was involved, with goals, assists, and strong defense in front of the cage to maintain our lead for all four quarters.

Final score of 12-5 to end the day on a high note.
